# Troubleshooting billing

> Fixes for common billing problems.

### I can't see an invoice

Practitioners see only their own invoices. Clear the search and set the status filter to all statuses.

### I can't add or remove fees

The invoice is voided or already in Xero. Restore a voided invoice first. For an invoice in Xero, select **Add adjustment** to charge more. You can still refund payments.

### There's no Send with Stripe or Request deposit

Stripe isn't set up, nothing is owing, or the invoice is billed to a third party.

### It says "No fee items yet"

Add services or fees in **Settings › Services & fees**.

### It says "Only MBS items can be bulk-billed"

Edit the fee in **Settings › Services & fees** and link it to its MBS item.

### I can't email the patient

There's no email address on their record. Add one, or copy the link instead.

### I can't refund a Medicare payment

Medicare benefit payments are reversed through a Medicare adjustment, not in Bilby.

### Payments by one method aren't reaching Xero

Choose a Xero account for that method in **Settings › Payment methods**.
