# Troubleshooting clinical work

> Fixes for common problems with notes, prescribing, pathology and letters.

### I can't edit a note

Only drafts can be edited. Select **Amend** on a published note first. Practitioners see only their own notes.

### I can't find the Templates button

Your practice has no templates yet, or the note is published. An admin can add templates in **Settings › Templates**.

### "Save the note before adding an image, then try again."

Wait until the note says Saved, then add the image again.

### "That image is too large to add to a note."

Use a smaller image.

### I can't delete a note

A note that has ever been published can only be withdrawn. Reception can't delete or withdraw notes.

### I can't see the Pathology tab

Your practitioner profile's specialty can't request pathology, or it's blank.

### "Email sending is not set up. Contact your practice administrator."

An admin needs to finish **Settings › Email sending**. See [Integrations](https://docs.bilby.health/integrations/email-sending.md).

### "The email service could not confirm the send. Check patient message history before trying again."

The letter may have gone. Check the patient's **Message history** tab before sending again.
