# Create an account and sign in

> Create your Bilby login, sign in, reset a password and set up two-step verification.

## Create your Bilby account

If you were invited to a practice, skip this and follow [Accept an invitation](https://docs.bilby.health/getting-started/invite-team.md#accept-an-invitation).

1. Go to [app.bilby.health/sign-in](https://app.bilby.health/sign-in) and select **Sign up**.
2. Enter your email and a password.
3. Enter the code Bilby emails you.

Bilby then takes you to [practice setup](https://docs.bilby.health/getting-started/set-up-practice.md).

Go to [app.bilby.health/sign-in](https://app.bilby.health/sign-in) and sign in with your email and password. If Bilby asks you to confirm it's you, enter your code. Bilby opens your practice's calendar.

If you belong to more than one practice, see [Switch practice](https://docs.bilby.health/getting-started/account.md#switch-practice).

### Reset a forgotten password

On the sign-in page, select **Forgot password?** and follow the steps. Bilby emails you a code. If you asked for more than one, use the newest.

### Set up two-step verification

Bilby holds patient records, so signing in takes your password and a code. The first time you sign in, Bilby asks you to set this up.

1. Choose an authenticator app (recommended, works without signal) or text message.
2. Follow the steps on screen.
3. Save your backup codes somewhere safe, such as a password manager. They let you sign in if you lose your phone.

To change this later, open the account menu and select **Account security**.
