# Invite your team

> Invite staff, accept an invitation, change roles and link users to practitioners.

1. Open **Settings › Users** and select **Invite user**.
2. Enter the person's email and name, and choose their role. See [Roles](https://docs.bilby.health/getting-started/roles.md).
3. For someone who sees patients, link them to a practitioner record, or create a new one.
4. Select **Send invite**.

The person gets an email. Until they accept it, the invitation shows as pending, and you can revoke it.

## Accept an invitation

Open the invitation email and select the link. Enter your name and a password, agree to the terms, and set up two-step verification if Bilby asks. See [Set up two-step verification](https://docs.bilby.health/getting-started/create-account.md#set-up-two-step-verification).

If you already have a Bilby account, sign in instead.

## Change a user's role

In **Settings › Users**, choose the new role beside the person's name. You can't change the owner's role, or the last admin's.

## Link a user to a practitioner record

A practitioner sees no appointments or patients until their account is linked. In **Settings › Users**, open the person's **More actions** menu and select **Link**.

## Other changes to a user

From the person's **More actions** menu you can also change their name, remove them or transfer ownership.

* **Remove** takes away their access straight away. A linked practitioner record is kept.
* **Transfer ownership** makes another admin the owner. Only the owner can delete the practice.
