# HICAPS

> Connect HICAPS and choose a program for each funding source.

HICAPS lets you claim NDIS, WorkCover, TAC and private health fund payments electronically. Claiming from an invoice is on [Billing and payments](https://docs.bilby.health/billing/overview).

## Connect HICAPS

First register your practice as a biller with HICAPS, and get the details for Bilby from the HICAPS portal.

1. Go to **Settings › HICAPS** and enter your biller ID, client ID and client secret.
2. Select **Connect**.

## Choose a HICAPS program for each funding source

Bilby only claims through HICAPS for funding sources linked to a HICAPS program.

1. Go to **Settings › Funding sources** and open the funding source, such as NDIS or a health fund.
2. Choose its HICAPS program, then save.

If you use WorkCover Queensland, also enter your biller account number on **Settings › HICAPS**. Every claim needs it.

## Disconnect HICAPS

Select **Disconnect** on **Settings › HICAPS**. To connect again, you'll need to enter the details again.

## Troubleshooting HICAPS

| Message | What to do |
| - | - |
| "Couldn't connect to HICAPS. Double-check your Biller ID, Client ID, and Client secret, then try again." | Copy the three values from the HICAPS portal again, with no extra spaces. |
| "HICAPS rejected the request. Check your credentials and try again." | The client ID or secret is wrong or has been replaced. Get a new secret from the HICAPS portal. |
