# Pipelines

> Track patients through stages and see who to chase.

> Not every practice has this yet. Bilby turns it on for each practice. If you can't see it, contact Bilby support.

A pipeline shows where each patient is, from referral to ready, and how long they've waited. Referrals, payments and forms can move people along on their own. Admins and reception use **Pipelines** in the sidebar. Only admins create and change pipelines.

## Create a pipeline

Open **Pipelines** and start from a ready-made pipeline, or open **Pipeline options** and select **New pipeline**.

To change the stages, open **Pipeline options** and select **Edit pipeline**. For each stage you can choose what moves patients into it, and how many days before they need chasing.

## Add and move patients

Select **Add patient**, then choose the patient and stage. To move someone, open their menu and choose a stage, or drag their card on the board. Removing someone from a pipeline doesn't change their record.

## See who to chase

Patients who have waited longer than their stage allows turn amber. Set Show to Needs chasing to list only them.

## Delete a pipeline

Open **Pipeline options** and select **Delete pipeline**. Its stages and history are deleted. The patients in it are not affected.
