# Pages patients see

> Every page a patient may see, and what each one does.

| Practice page | Search engines, your website | Shows clinicians, locations, hours and contact details |
| Private booking link | SMS or email from your practice | Pick a time and pay a deposit |

| Assignment of benefit | SMS or email from your practice | Sign a Medicare assignment of benefit |
| Pay an invoice | Invoice email, payment link or the portal | Pay an invoice by card |
| Patient portal | Reminders, your practice page, an email from you | See appointments, book, pay and send documents |

## Online booking

The patient chooses a service, practitioner and time, then enters their details. If online booking is off or has no services, they're told bookings aren't available.

## Practice page

## Private booking link

The patient picks a time and pays the deposit. A link that has expired or been cancelled asks them to contact the practice. See [Private booking links](https://docs.bilby.health/online-booking/private-booking-links.md).

## Form link

The patient fills in the form and submits it. Their answers can't be changed after that. See [Forms](https://docs.bilby.health/forms/overview).

## Assignment of benefit link

The patient reviews the services and the benefit, then signs. See [Medicare and DVA](https://docs.bilby.health/medicare/overview).

## Paying an invoice online

The patient pays on Stripe's secure payment page, from an invoice email, a payment link you send, or the portal. See [Billing and payments](https://docs.bilby.health/billing/overview).

## Patient portal

Patients sign in with an emailed code and their date of birth. See [Patient portal](https://docs.bilby.health/online-booking/patient-portal.md).
