# Referrers

> Keep the directory of referring doctors and practices complete and free of duplicates.

Referrers are the doctors and other providers who refer patients to you. Referring practices are the clinics they work at. Contact details live on the practice, so a change there applies to every referrer who works at it. Clinical letters go to the practice's email by default, so that email is the detail most worth having.

## Who can use this

| Clean up (duplicates and missing details in bulk) | Yes | No | No |

Practitioners can still choose a referrer when they add a referral to a patient. See [Patients](https://docs.bilby.health/patients/referrals.md).

To see who refers to you most, admins can run the Top referring practices and Top referrers reports. See [Reports and records](https://docs.bilby.health/reports/overview).
