# Referring practices

> Add referring practices and fill in their missing details.

## Referring practices

Select **Referrers**, then **Manage referring practices**. Search by name or suburb and select a practice to open it. Change its details, then select **Save** in the bar at the bottom. The page also lists the referrers who work there.

### Add a referring practice

Add a practice from a referrer's page, or from the practices list when a search finds nothing: select **Add** *name* **as a new practice**. Fill in its details and select **Create practice**.

## Find missing details for a practice

Bilby can look online for a practice's blank email, phone or address and suggest what it finds. Admins and reception can use it.

1. Open the practice, or start a new one. Fill in its name and location first, because Bilby searches with them.
2. Select **Find missing details**.
3. Read each suggestion. Each one links to the page it was found on.
4. Select **Use** for each detail you want.
5. Save the practice.

Nothing is saved until you save the practice. Bilby only fills blank fields and never replaces a detail you already have.

Each suggestion says Looks right or Check first. For Check first, open the page and confirm the detail before you use it.

Practices don't always publish an email, so you may need to ask them. Only the practice's name and location are used to search. No patient or referrer details leave Bilby.
