How saving works

Bilby saves a draft as you type, and shows whether it’s saved next to the toolbar. If it says it couldn’t save, Bilby keeps trying; you can keep typing.

If a note says “Not saved”

Don’t close the page. Your text is still on screen.
  • If you see Try again, check your internet connection and select it until the note says Saved.
  • If you see Refresh, select it. Bilby keeps your text and puts it back after the page reloads.

Publish a note

Read the note through, then select Publish. It can’t be edited directly after that, and placeholders are filled with the details on file at that moment. If publishing fails, the note stays a draft. Select Try again.

Amend a published note

Select Amend, give a reason and select Amend note. The note goes back to draft so you can change it, then publish it again. The published version and your reason are kept in its history.

See a note’s history

Select History in the Note actions menu. It shows each change, and exactly what was published each time.
