These helpers appear only when Bilby has set them up for your practice. If a button isn’t there, it isn’t set up yet. None of them saves anything by itself: a person always checks and saves.

Reading referral letters

Read details on a PDF in a patient’s Files tab, and Fill from PDF when adding a referral, read a referral letter and suggest details. Nothing is read until someone starts it, and nothing is saved until a person ticks the details and saves. See Patients.

Reading scanned referral letters

Not every practice has this yet. Bilby turns it on for each practice. If you can’t see it, contact Bilby support.
With the Scanned referrals switch on, Bilby can also read scanned or photographed letters. A scan can be misread, so every suggestion from a scan is marked “Check first” and nothing starts ticked.

Finding missing referring practice details

Find missing details on a referring practice looks online for its missing email, phone and address. Admin and reception can use it. Only the practice’s name and location are searched; no patient details leave Bilby. If it isn’t set up, an admin sees a line starting “Missing details lookup isn’t set up yet.” Send that line to Bilby support. See Referrers.

Drafting forms with AI

Not every practice has this yet. Bilby turns it on for each practice. If you can’t see it, contact Bilby support.
Draft with AI on the Forms page builds a form from a description, a blank PDF or a photo, and the form builder can change one the same way. Only admins can use them. The document is read outside Australia, and Bilby doesn’t keep a copy. Attach blank forms only, never one a patient has filled in. See Forms.
